How did you determine which furniture would best suit the display apartment at The Albertine?
We took the lead from the overall aesthetic of The Albertine, being high end finishes with a warm yet contemporary connection to natural materials. Floor planning is key for apartment living, to ensure you’re making the best use of the space, and finding the best layout for you to achieve an impressive and functional look.
What guided your choices for fabrics, colours, and finishes in the display apartment at The Albertine?
The apartments are already filled with beautiful natural stone finishes, warm timber flooring and wool carpet, we wanted to compliment these features and materials without over shadowing them and instead just adding a further layering of texture and tones using the feature Patagonia Stone as our base colour palette.
Are there any favourite pieces in the display apartment that you especially love?
Our Pier rectangle coffee table. It’s a statement piece in size but the soft cream travertine is understated and works well with so many different styles. It’s got enough presence to not be styled yet equally can be layered with personal decor as much or as little as you want. This piece is also designed for outdoor use so is a very versatile piece if you’re someone who likes to move things around!
What tips do you have for those who are wanting to mix existing pieces with new pieces?
Planning is key to achieving a balance of old and new, ensure all existing pieces you’re planning to bring with you have a spot that fits, and a purpose. The apartments are filled with plenty of custom joinery and storage so focus on the dining table, chairs, and sofa setting, and filling those areas appropriately to scale, rather than filling with lots of smaller pieces, as this will actually make the space feel bigger.
